This is a very nice all original Swedish M96 Mauser rifle that was manufactured in 1916 at the Carl Gustafs Stad Arsenal.  Mechanically this rifle is in excellent working order and is sure to be a great shooter.  This rifle is import marked at the end of the barrel.

BORE CONDITION

The bore is in very good condition with strong rifling and shine throughout.

METAL CONDITION

8/10

The metal is in good condition throughout. There is wear throughout. The rear sight has some markings near the set screw as pictured. It may need resoldered.

STOCK CONDITION

7/10

The stock and handguard are both in fair condition throughout. There is a repaired crack at the toe and a ding near the upper band.
