This is a very nice British BSA SHT 22 Mk IV training rifle that was manufactured in 1917. Mechanically this rifle works great. I have personally fired it and it is accurate and reliable.  This rifle has been sporterized as can be seen in the photos.  It also has the addition of the British micrometer rear sight.  The magazine is correct in that the follower and spring have been removed to hold the empty 22 shells.  These are awesome shooting little rifles and being sporterized priced at half the price of a collectible one!
