This is a very nice all original Turkish M38 Mauser rifle that was built using an original German WWI receiver.  Mechanically this rifle is in excellent working order. I have personally fired it and it shoots great.  This rifle is import marked at the end of the barrel. This Turkish M38 rifle was manufactured using a surplus German Gew 98 Mauser receiver.  It still has some of the German markings present and appears to have been a Mauser Oberndorf manufactured rifle.  This rifle is a great example of a recycled German Gew 98 that was used in Turkey.
