This is a very nice all original Russian M44 Mosin Nagant Carbine that was manufactured in 1945 at the Izhevsk Arsenal.  Mechanically this rifle is in excellent working order and is sure to be an excellent shooter.  There is an import mark on the side of the receiver. This is a rare variation of M44, as it has a hex receiver.  There was a small group of these made late in WWII.  This carbine comes complete with original cleaning rod.  These are excellent carbines and very hard to find with hex receivers!
