This is a very nice all original Russian 91/30 Mosin Nagant rifle that was manufactured in 1944 at the Tula Arsenal. Mechanically this rifle works great and is sure to be an excellent shooter. This rifle is rare in that it was built off of a hex receiver. No one knows for sure why Tula Arsenal built a small number of hex receiver 91/30’s in 1944, but it is assumed that they had a small number of receivers in storage and used them to built these rifles. This rifle is rare to find in this configuration as far as 91/30 production goes. It’s a neat rifle that will be a great addition to your WWII rifle collection.
