Beautiful Portuguese Mauser Vergueiro Model 1904/39 8mm Matching Numbers

This is a very nice all original Portuguese Mauser Vergueiro Model 1904/39 rifle that was manufactured by DWM in Germany. Mechanically this rifle works great. I have personally fired it and it functions and shoots just as it should.  This rifle is import marked on the end of the barrel.  This rifle has the 1939 conversion to 8mm Mauser.  It has an original leather sling, but is torn near the lower sling swivel.  These rifles are highly sought after for their smooth action and accuracy.

BORE CONDITION

7/10

The bore is in good condition with strong rifling and shine throughout. There is some light pitting the grooves.

METAL CONDITION

8/10

The metal is in very good condition throughout. There is thinning to the blue, but it has not been messed with or refinished in any way.

STOCK CONDITION

8/10

The stock and handguard are both in very good condition throughout. There is an arsenal repair at the toe. There is a very light split at the front of the trigger guard.
