This is a very nice all original Japanese Type 99 Rope Hole Arisaka that was manufactured at the very end of WWII.  Mechanically this rifle works great and is sure to be an excellent shooter if you wish to shoot it.  This is a rare variation of the 11th series Nagoya having only a hole in the stock for a rope type sling.  It does not have dust cover grooves which were deleted around this time in the 11th series.  This rifle is not import marked and is a WWII bringback.  These are excellent collectible rifles showing the desperation of Japanese manufacturing during the last days of WWII.
