This is an absolutely beautiful specimen of a Japanese Type 99 Arisaka rifle that was manufactured mid WWII at the Nagoya Arsenal. This 6th series rifle features the hard to find slotted safety that is seldom seen. It still retains the original staked in place screws throughout the rifle as well as a very nice original Japanese leather sling. Mechanically this rifle works great and is sure to be an excellent shooter. This rifle is not import marked and is most likely a WWII bringback. If you’re looking for a true time capsule of a rifle from the PTO in WWII, this is going to be a hard rifle to upgrade!
