This is a very nice all original Japanese Type 99 Arisaka rifle that was manufactured at the Izawa Jyuko Arsenal.  This 9th series rifle was one of only 50k in that production run.  The mum has been defaced, but is still visible and has not been removed. The bolt handle has a slight bend, but still functions as it should.  This is a late rifle with no cleaning or stacking rod provision.  The vet’s name is stamped on the keel of the stock.
