This is a very nice all original Japanese Type 44 Cavalry Carbine chambered in 6.5x50mm Japanese.  Mechanically this carbine works great and is sure to be a great shooter.  This carbine is not import marked and is most likely a WWII bringback.  The mum has been ground. These carbines are getting harder and harder to find in today’s market.  If you’re looking for one that will make a good shooter and great collectible, this is the one for you!

Bolt is not serial number matching.

BORE CONDITION

The bore is in very good condition with strong rifling and shine. The grooves are a little dark.

METAL CONDITION

The metal is in very good condition throughout. There is some wear consistent with an issued carbine.

STOCK CONDITION

8/10

The stock and handguard are in good condition throughout. There are dents and dings throughout. There is a split in the handguard near the front sight.
