This is a very nice all original Japanese Type 38 carbine that was converted to 7.62x39mm by the Chinese after WWII. Mechanically this rifle is in excellent working order. I have fired it several times and it shoots great.  This carbine is single shot with no hardware in the magazine. This is very common on these.  There is a small import mark at the end of the barrel.  Most parts are marked 127 from the Chinese conversion.  This is a great little carbine that is a lot of fun to shoot.
