This is a very nice all original Japanese Type 14 Nambu that was manufactured in February of 1944. Mechanically this pistol works very well and is sure to be a great shooter. This is a very interesting pistol that retains the original bringback tag from the GI who brought it home. The limited story that I received is that this pistol was liberated sometime during late 44, early 45. However, the GI has been long since past and his story lost to time. The tag, retaining the information “Cpl. Malone I-3-7 Nambu”, should lead a good historian to finding a little more about the history of who brought this home and perhaps a little about the story behind it.
