This is a new made Italian M91 Carcano Cavalry Carbine handguard. These handguards are made locally by a very talented wood craftsman. They will require fitting to your carbine as all Moschetto cavalry carbine handguards are different. I have personally fit them and it takes about 30 minutes with a finish saw and sander. They come out really nice and look like originals.
We have made one small adjustment to these. The rear sight groove is no longer cut. There were too many variations in this groove and it will fit and look much better when you cut the groove to match your carbine.
