This is a very nice all original Italian M38 Carcano short rifle that was manufactured in 1940 at the Terni Arsenal.  Mechanically this short rifle is in excellent working order and is sure to be a great shooter.  This short rifle is not import marked and has a very nice original Italian leather sling.  The stock has nice original cartouches and has not been messed with or refinished.  Overall, this is an excellent example of a harder to find variation of the Carcano.
