Amberg Arsenal German Gew 98 Mauser Rifle Awesome Original Condition 1917 WWI Dated

This is a very nice all original German Gew 98 Mauser rifle that was manufactured in 1917 at the Amberg Arsenal.  Mechanically this rifle is in excellent working order.  I have fired it and it shoots great.  This rifle is not import marked and is most likely a WWII bringback.  The bolt and stock are matching through rearsenal.  This rifle is complete with cleaning rod.  These are great rifles that have become very collectible in the milsrup world!

SERIAL NUMBERS

The bolt and stock are matching via rearsenal. Some other parts such as the magazine floor plate, trigger guard, and bands are matching to each other.

BORE CONDITION

8/10

The bore is in good condition throughout. There is some darkness to the grooves, but it does have strong rifling with the lands being shiny.

METAL CONDITION

9/10

The metal is in very good condition throughout. The botl and receiver are correctly in the white. All blued parts are in very good condition with minimal wear.

STOCK CONDITION

8/10

The stock and handguard are in very good condition throughout. There is some wear and a few dents and dings. There is an arsenal repair at the top of the butt plate area.
