This is a very nice all original French Berthier M16 that was arsenal built into a Turkish Forestry Carbine. Mechanically this carbine works great and is sure to be an excellent shooter.  These carbines were built in Turkey for use by Turkish Forestry agents protecting Turkish state property from illegal lumber operations.  A neat piece of both French and Turkish surplus firearms history.  These do not come up very often especially in this condition.  This carbine is not import marked and comes with a nice original leather sling.
