Beautiful German K98 Mauser Rifle 1940 147 Code JP Sauer and Sohn Rare British Capture Marked Matching Numbers

This is a very nice all matching German K98 Mauser rifle that was manufactured in 1940 at the JP Sauer and Sohn Factory. Mechanically this rifle works great and is sure to be an excellent shooter.  This rifle is not import marked and is a possibly a WWII bringback.  It was captured by the British and marked on the stock as such.  There are British broad arrows and an ID disk.  This is a great example of a WWII German K98 with quite the pedigree!

BORE CONDITION

The bore is in very good condition with strong rifling and shine throughout.

METAL CONDITION

The metal is in very good condition throughout with some light wear from use.

STOCK CONDITION

7/10

The stock and handguard are both in very good condition throughout. There is some softening of the markings consistent with a cleaned stock. There is a small crack at the wrist, but is structurally sound.
