This is a very nice all original Japanese Type 99 Naval Special rifle that was manufactured for the Japanese Imperial Navy during WWII. Mechanically this rifle is in excellent working order.  The barrel serial number does not match, but works in the rifle and is an original Naval Special Barrel.  This rifle is not import marked and is most likely a WWII bringback.  This rifle has an interesting front band design. These are very collectible rifles that do not come up very often.
