This is a very nice all original German K98 Mauser that was manufactured late in 1944 at the German DOT (Czech Waffenwerke Bruenn AG) Factory.  Mechanically this rifle is in excellent working order and is sure to be a great shooter.  This rifle is not import marked and was most likely brought back by a GI serving in the ETO during WWII.  This rifle is a kregsmodell rifle with no bayonet lug and simplified parts indicative of late war manufacturing.  Finding a kregsmodell rifle with all matching parts is very difficult in today’s collecting market.  If you are looking for a nice representative K98 Mauser for your collection, this is the one for you!
