This is a very nice all original WWII German K98 Mauser rifle that was manufactured in 1939 at ERMA Werke. Mechanically this rifle works great and is sure to be an excellent shooter. This rifle is not import marked and is most likely a WWII bringback. This rifle is in very good original condition throughout and just has that bringback feel to it. There are two asterisks on the left side of the receiver denoting that the receiver or rifle was a factory reject at some point and then later issued. This is often seen on the ERMA Werke rifles, but usually on the barrel. An interesting aspect to this particular K98. This is a great example of a WWII German K98 Mauser Rifle from a seldom encountered manufacturer.
