This is a very nice all original WWII German K98 Bayonet that was manufactured in 1940 by Berg & Co. Mechanically this bayonet works great. I have put it on a K98 rifle and it locks on tight and releases as it should.
The blade on this bayonet is in good condition throughout. There is wear to the bluing throughout.
The handles are in good shape throughout with some handling marks, but no cracks or serious damage.
The cross guard and pommel are worn mostly to the white, but are all original and correct.
The scabbard is matching in number and retains a very nice original leather frog. The finish is worn to the white throughout with some light pitting.
