Here is your chance at a very nice all original Springfield Armory Model 1884 Trapdoor rifle chambered in 45/70 Gov.  This rifle has a very nice bore that is sure to make for a great shooter.  Mechanically everything works great on the rifle.  It appears to be all original and is ready for the range.  It has the early 1879 “buckhorn” rear sight and updated 1884 side lock.  This is a great example of a late 19th Century American rifle that is sure to make for  a great shooter.

Caliber: 45/70

Bore Condition: Good bore.  Strong rifling with shine throughout. There is one small area of light pitting near the muzzle.

Matching Numbers: No numbered parts other than receiver. All parts match in patina and wear.

Metal Condition: Good condition with some wear throughout.

Wood Condition: Good condition throughout. One very light split at the butt plate that is stable.  Circle P is legible. Inspector proof mark is visible, but not readable due to some wear in that area. There is a small “T” carved into the butt stock.

FFL Status: Pre-1898 Antique Firearm.  Proof of age over 18 must be submitted for purchase.
