Beautiful Russian M38 Mosin Nagant Carbine Rare 1944 Izhevsk

This is a very nice all original Russian M38 Mosin Nagant Carbine that was manufactured at the Izhevsk Arsenal in 1944. Mechanically this carbine works great and is an excellent shooter.  There is an import mark on the side of the receiver.  This carbine has a replacement M44 stock that was most likely fitted when rearsenaled.

SERIAL NUMBERS

Barrel, bolt, butt plate, and magazine floorplate (force-matched) are all matching. All other parts are not serial numbered.

BORE CONDITION

8/10

The bore is in very good condition with strong rifling and shine throughout. There is some frosting in the grooves that should clean up after some shooter. It is counter-bored at the muzzle.

METAL CONDITION

The metal is in very good condition throughout. There is some wear consistent with an issued rifle

STOCK CONDITION

8/10

The stock is in very good condition throughout. It is a replacement M44 stock that is usually seen on a rearsenaled M38. There is one arsenal repair on the left side.
