This is a very nice all original Japanese Type 99 Arisaka rifle that was issued to the Imperial Japanese Navy. Mechanically this rifle is in excellent working order and is sure to be a great shooter. This rifle has a black paint finish that is seen on Japanese Navy issued rifles. It still retains the original untouched mum and is all matching. There are no import marks on this rifle. This rifle has very nice painted kanji on the side of the stock. This is a great example of a seldom seen variation of the Japanese Type 99.

BORE CONDITION

The bore is in very good condition with strong rifling and shine throughout.

METAL CONDITION

8/10

The metal is in very good condition throughout. There is some wear throughout to the black paint finish. Black paint finish appears in every way to be original naval finish.

STOCK CONDITION

The stock and handguard are both in very good condition throughout. There is Japanese writing on the right side of the stock. There is a rub mark where the finish has worn near the trigger guard. There is also a chip out of the stock near the tip of the butt.

This is a very nice all original Japanese Type 99 Arisaka rifle that was issued to the Imperial Japanese Navy. This rifle is a 33rd series Toyo Kogyo made in Hiroshima Prefecture. Mechanically this rifle is in excellent working order and is sure to be a great shooter. This rifle has a black paint finish that is seen on Japanese Navy issued rifles. It still retains the original untouched mum and is all matching. There are no import marks on this rifle. This rifle has very nice painted kanji on the side of the stock. This is a great example of a seldom seen variation of the Japanese Type 99.
