This is a very nice British made Martini Henry sporting rifle chambered in 303 British. This rifle is a very early action, but functions just as it should. The bore is dark in the grooves, but has good rifling. The rear sight is a notched flip up site with 300 and 600 meter settings. There is a little pitting on the barrel that can be seen in the pictures, but nothing structural to the metal. the butt stock is in good conditon with a hairline crack, but very pretty tiger striping throughout. There are a few areas where the stock and forend have been filled in with wood putty. They are very small areas and do not detract from the beauty of this rifle.
