This Jinsen Arsenal Substitute Standard Type 99 Arisaka rifle was manufactured in Korea under Japanese occupation during WWII. This is a rough made "last ditch" type rifle. The numbers on the bolt are not legible, but it is a Jinsen marked bolt. The stock appears to have been refinished at one time. The buttplate is missing. This rifle has a good bore. There is a little darkness in the gooves, but the rifling is good. This is a very late model rifle with no dust cover grooves in the receiver. The mum is ground, but the outline is still visible.
