This is a nice original Japanese Type 38 long rifle manufactured at the Nagoya Arsenal. It is an early 26th series rifle and is chambered in 6.5mm Japanese. The bore is good with strong rifling. There is some frosting in the grooves, but overall a very good bore. The bolt body is matching, the safety is not matching and the firing pin is not numbered. The original numbers matching safety was broken and is included in the sale of this rifle. It broke at the stem and was that way when the rifle was received by me. The bayonet lug is numbers matching. This rifle has a complete mum that has not been defaced. There are no import marks. Overall, this is a great rifle that will display well and shoot well!
