This is a very interesting Chinese Type 53 Mosin Nagant Carbine that was manufactured at Arsenal 26 in 1960. Mechanically everything on this carbine functions as it should. However, it has a poor bore that would not be good for shooting. I have fired this carbine and it shoots as it should, but it’s not recommended to shoot much. It is much more a collectible to show the hard use of Vietnam bringback weapons in the jungle. Obviously no import marks. This rifle is complete with cleaning rod and bayonet. These are two pieces that are always missing for Vietnam bringback Type 53 carbines.
