This is a nice original Colt 1911 Government Model pistol manufactured in 1949 by Colt. It is chambered in 45 ACP and has a good bore. There is a small amount of pitting in the grooves of the bore, but it has strong rifling. The barrel is marked "COLT 45 AUTO" with a "P". Mechanically, this pistol functions as it should. I have test fired it and it works great. The metal finish on the pistol is in decent shape. It is thinning in places and looks to have been reblued over the original finish at one time. Grips are in good shape with no cracks or warping. Comes with one magazine that appears to be original.
